This is most likely due to orphaned entries in Tables users and aspNet_Membership. Compare the entries and remove orphans.

[Edit: there is a fixing script at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/795/forumid/-1/threadid/19684/scope/posts/Default.aspx, but I have not tested it. You should also look into the log files in /providers/datproviders/sqldataprovider, for failed modifications in the database, that should be run manually after you cleaned your database]

Hi Sebastian,

thanks for the post, but I know the script and running it returns no entries to be removed. I have not upgraded DNN. I am using version 3.2.2 on this portal. I did however remove a third party module which allowed non-admins to view user data.

Once logged in I can view and edit my profile without problems or errors, it's just the user list which does not come up.

Oh, that's not a maybe, I am sure that's what happened. Problem is... I don't know enough SQL to fix this myself. I don't even mind deleting all users to start from scratch, but how do I go about?

The various tables aspnet_Users etc. seem to have a lot of cross-dependencies. What is a good way to clean out the users from the portal(s)? I don't think delete * from aspnet_Users will do, which about exhausts my knowledge of SQL :-)

Please help this n00b!
