I was wondering if anyone could help me?

I've just installed 4.9 on a shared host. The install went really well - used the wizard and selected typical settings all the way.

However, when I finished there's no sign of the text/html module - so the home page is empty and I can't add any text modules. In fact, my only modules available to add are:

  • Account Login
  • Banners
  • Feed Explorer
  • Google Adsense
  • Search Input
  • Search Results
  • User Account

Have I missed something in the install script?

this definately looks like an issue during installation. I suggest to restart installation from the beginning.

I think there is something to this...  it also happened to me on a generic install with this version.  I did a generic custom install (on discountasp.com w/ SQL 2008) and selected all modules.  All the other modules installed okay but there is no text/HTML module installed.  What's best way to debug this install issue?

call /install/install.aspx?mode=installResources - if the module does not get installed, restart from the beginning. Do NOT select all modules, only those you really want to use. you can install the other modules easily afterwards from inside DNN, using Host :: Module Definitions

I have just experienced this same problem, but with a fresh installation ov v. 5.

Oddly, in the file listing, the HTML module is also missing from the DesktopModules folder but instead is located in the folder above that, directly under Admin.

I tried running /install/install.aspx?mode=installResources but no luck. Any suggestions other than a fresh install?
