Im running the install version of 4.9 and all goes fine until the "Run Database Installation Scripts" section. Its been running for about 45 minutes - is that normal? The database is sql server 2000 and is remote, but still seems like a long time. I looked in the db to see if anything had been added, but there is nothing new there - just an empty db.

I have the same problem.

I am running all the MS express 2008 freebies on a WK2 R2 2003 server with regular iis installed. Everything is fine, but cannot get DNN working. Have followed all instructions from starterkit.vsi - but just hangs (or spends an eternity) on this page.

Any suggestions?

I assume there is an issue with database login. check the login, make sure, that the database is blank (no tables or stored procedures) and restart installation process.
