I need to make my DNN run faster by continously requesting popular pages so that they don't get compiled all the time.

How do I use the built in scheduler to do this?

this is not possible, since the scheduler only runs when the site is active. you need to use either a scheduled Windows task or an external service. another option is to disable recyling of the app pool after 20 mins of inactivity (I usually prefer to schedule recycling once per night only and if memory is low).

you can also use a http module that will react on application_onend, eg: http://www.xepient.com/OpenDnn.aspx#OpenKeepAlive

at any rate: contact your hosting provider in order to fine tune your application reload
