I have successfully installed DNN 4.9.0 on a SQL Server 2005 and a windows Vista machine several times, set the permissions according to the documentation. I have also tried the typical install and the auto install. The same continues to happen though. After the install when trying to render the screen or click on go to portal/website, it is like something is hanging up. The screen just hangs there as if it is still waiting for a process to complete. I have not created a custom domain name or otherwise. What am I possibly doing wrong??

Thanks for responding. By continueing searching the Internet and the dnn site I was able ti find the solution to my Vista problem. The key was posted in a different forum. Again thanks for responding.

I was not getting any error messages or anything that is what made trying to figure out what the problem was so troublesome. The screen jsut appeared to be hung up and would not fully render. It was like it was waiting for a process to finalize.
