Hi

I assigned store modules to a child portal by host superuser and then I logout superuser. I went to child portal to login as child portal admin to add the StoreAdmin module to a new page included in menu and set up the view and edit permission to admin. Added the Store Menu module, store Catalog module, mini shopping cart module to home page. Then setting the the edit permission only to admin and view permission to all the users. then I add the catagory items into the storeAdmin module. After that I add the products items into catalog module. after I add the first item. and update, The first Item displayed on the catalog module place. When I want to add the second product by click the "Add New Product", It log me out. Then the Child portal admin cannot edit the modules that on home page any more except the StoreAdmin module(on different page), Every edit action result in logout. I only can edit the modules by host superuser. But it's not logical for Dnn original purpose. What's wrong?

Thanks in advance

Hi

No body answer this post, So I complement some information about my experimental results with this module.

1. Actually I deployed this site in a shared web hosting envirement with a hosting company for testing the DotNetNuke and modules. Hosting OS is Windows 2003 server. Database is MS SQL 2005 server. I "typical" installed the dnn with medium trust by changing the development.config to web.config and manually changing some configuation as per instructions in Dnn installation document.
2. Everything described in above yesterday post happened in a child portal. In order to try some differences, I deleted the modules on child portal home page and add a Store page with "included in menu" on child portal and then put Menu, Mini-Cart, Catalog modules on it.
3. If I put the link image to None in Catalog settings, the child portal admin can access every module menu and any link. It seems everything OK. But if I link to any image file in catalog module settings, the child portal admin cannot access any module menu  on Store page. SO that everytime any link is clicked by child portal Admin will logout the child portal admin.
4. Host superuser can access any module menu on store page anyway. No matter whether the product image file is linked. So what's the problem? bugs or something else? Any Helps? Can any member of store module team answer my questions?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Jimmy

Current store module version produces this art of trouble when installed on child portal. I have never seen this behavior because I am using store module only on parent portal level. I think that this is already fixed in coming (hopefully soon) next version. I suggest you search this forum for more information on this topic.

Hi,

If you send your e-mail address to thermes at watermansite com I will send you a patch.
I got this patch from gilles to use it on a chil portal.
I have used it quite a while and had no errors.

With regards, Ton Hermes
