Oh, and on skinning the gallery, I just finished doing a skin that handles all the major elements of what you want from the tejanouniverse.com site, so once we get your gallery module working, i'll outline for you the css classes that you need to modify to get that look. You will also have to modify the picture file of the 0 out of 5 stars .gif and make it a blank transparent gif. Its pretty simple once you get it going.

Ok in installed gallery package not the source and it put up all the module information and files.  but when i did a test......this is what i got

Server Error in '/' Application.

Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.default_aspx' to type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container'.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.default_aspx' to type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container'.

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

  <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
   <system.web>
       <compilation debug="true"/>
   </system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

Stack Trace:

Ok, good, now we're making progress. Now you need to add or MODIFY this line - if there is already a line in your web.config that reads " then you need to modify it to look like below:

If it is not already there, then add it right above where you changed the last line to be:
So it will look like this:

Then we'll be able to see exactly whats causing the problem

Ok i don't know why i didn't think of this before, but you're running on DotNetNuke 4 and .NET 2.0 right? That means you need this patch installed before it will work, since the gallery core doesn't yet work on DNN4.

Here is the forum this was posted in:
http://dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/9/threadid/16805/scope/posts/Default.aspx

And here is the link to the patched Gallery Core Module:
www.online.net/Portal/Downloads/tabid/62/Default.aspx

I think DNN may filter out the word A N G E L, so just put "a n g e l" without the spaces in front of "online" to get the correct URL
and download the Gallery (unofficial) module. That took care of it when I had this problem too.
