Tried running DNN installer on ten sites now using various options;
Last attempt was set as;
1/ ASPNET granted full rights to all directories.
2/ SQL User was full dbo.
3/ Chose "Typical" install.
Failed as usual, when running SQL scripts, ends up in everlasting loop, left last one running - ran for two days on my VM before I stopped it! who the hell wrote the installer? each line states success!
Where are the Manual process instructions users can use to create the DB, and config themselves?
After 11th Site/DB, Eventually got scripts to run, now have the following;
"Host User Error:
Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length"
Fields are of course not less than zero, no way past this one!
Have worked with SharePoint, SharePoint Server, Community Server, Umbraco and many others, this is worst I have ever come across.
Happy to be proved wrong if some can tell me how to move forward from here?
