Hello all!

I've just finished a fresh DNN 5.0 install.

Really, the AD Auth Provider came with a bug, and when I tried to save the settings, an error happened and the configuration was lost.

After downloading GMSS AD 5.0.0.1, everything is working fine! Just uploaded the extension and configured IIS to NOT allow anonymous access to the Windows Login form (WindowsSignin.aspx)

Is there any option to log just using my LDAP username?

At this moment, I could only log by passing DOMAIN\username

Any help would be appreciated!

Keep the good working DNN team!

Best Regards,

Same problem here.

Has there been any resolution to this?

What do I do?  Do I wait, or do I downgrade to DNN 4.xx?

Thanks,

Norman

After several hours pulling my hair out, I managed to get this fixed.   Here is how the fix goes:

1. go to the link in the following post

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/89/threadid/276839/scope/posts/Default.aspx

2. Download the new AD provider. Drop it into your Install/modules directory

3. Navigate to your portal address followed by /install/install.aspx?mode=installresources  (ie. http://www.yourportal.com/install/install.aspx?mode=installresources)

This will install the fixed AD provider.

4. This resolved my issues. I was able to login to my portal after this.

Good Luck!

Hello.  What do I do if I am brand new to DNN, and don't have the slightest idea what this means, or how to do it?

My ISP installed DNN 5.0 for me a few days ago, and I have just been downloading all of the modules off of the DNN site, and uploading them to my ISP.  (I am not really sure why the modules do not come already pre-installed with DNN 5.0, but that is a separate question.)  I uploaded a number of modules today, and now I cannot log in.  I get the same error message everyone else mentions.

I get the impression the above-named fix is for a home-based server: is that accurate?  My ISP says they will load DNN, but do not service it.  Can anyone please tell me what I should do, or else please point me in the right direction?

I apologize for my ignorance, but I am just not at all sure how to do what Tony describes here.

Thank you very much.

Norman

Open the Authentication table in the database and removed the entries for Active Directory and Cardspace if they are there.

I installed both Active Directory and Cardspace today, and now I get the same error message everyone else is getting.

My installation is on an ISP, and I have no idea how to modify any of the other files, or if they will do so.

Should I ask them for a fresh install, and then reinstall all of the same modules, minus Active Directory and Cardspace?

Or what should I do?

Thank you,

Norman
