sqlxml  Modified By admlange on 12/28/2008 5:05:28 PM

Hi,

I have a module which uses a table (sql 2005) with an xml column. Will the CBO helper (fillobject / fillcollection) be able to cast this to an sqltypes.sqlxml type? I ask this because MS says you need to use getxml instead of getvalue and i found that the CBO functions use getvalue to hydrate the properties of the business class.

If this is so, could i just use a string as type in my business layer (the info class) and use loadxml(string) to create an xml object of the string? If not, what is the best way to store grab an XML column from the DB (it is selected together with app. 8 NON-xml columns in a stored procedure).

THanks,

Alexander
