Adrien, I may have asked you this before but I didn't see it when I looked back through the previous posts. Are you using impersonation in your web.config?

I have tried both with and without impersonation. I am willing to provide my web.config as I never saw a big difference between the two modes and may not have everything in their configured correctly.

 Send the one with impersonation to mhorton@telus.net. I'll try to look at it ASAP.

Hi Adrien

I got your web.config. It looks like you're running Windows Authentication in your web.config instead of forms. I'd suggest running under forms authentication as the provider works better under that format. Below is that section of the web.config that I use on our server that is running the same OS and SQL version.

<!-- forms or Windows authentication -->
    <authentication mode="forms">
      <forms name=".DOTNETNUKE" protection="All" timeout="60" cookieless="UseCookies" />
    </authentication>
    <identity impersonate="true" userName="domain\user" password="password" />
    <!--
      <identity impersonate="true"/>
      <authentication mode="Windows">
      </authentication>
  -->

I have tried that configuration before, without luck. I set it up again to test. I still am not loading the active directory provider configuration from the database and receive an error when trying to save the settings to the database (same error as previously provided). What else can I do to help find the root cause of the errors?
