Mike, I am in need of that AD auth provider for DNN 5. Do you think you can email me a copy since it isn't currently available on your site? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!!

I downloaded the 05.00.01 version to install on my 05.00.01 version of DNN, and I am having a problem trying to update the settings.  When ever I click the update button, I get the following error.  I should mention that I was previously running DNN 4.9x with the 1.?? AD provider and all was working fine.   Now, after the upgrade to DNN 5 it no longer works.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.Configuration.UpdateConfig(Int32 PortalID, Boolean WindowsAuthentication, Boolean Hidden, String RootDomain, String EmailDomain, String AuthenticationUserName, String AuthenticationPassword, Boolean SynchronizeRole, Boolean SynchronizePassword, Boolean StripDomainName, String ProviderTypeName, String AuthenticationType, String SubNet) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.Settings.UpdateSettings() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Jay,

Where are you doing the settings? I've done a number of upgrades without any problems (other than having to re-enter everything in).

I am interested in knowing what the solution to this problem is. I receive an identical message as Jay when I do not fill in any of the fields. If I do fill in the fields following the rules in the documentation, i get the error

Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.Settings.UpdateSettings() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I have removed the module and reinstalled it 3 times now, Impersonation is on, Permissions are set and I cannot get it to work. I keep getting dropped to http://{server}/dotnetnuke/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fdotnetnuke%2fAdmin%2fExtensions.aspx without an active directory login available.
