Hi, I have 2 websites that are currently hosted under one plan www.Site1.com (Portal 0) and www.Site2.com (Portal 1) - and they share a database. How do I go about moving www.Site2.com (Portal 1) to a different hosting plan, because it is currently sharing the database? Can someone please give me some advice on the best way to go about this. Thanks!

I suppose the quickest and easy way is:

  1. backup your current database
  2. create a new database
  3. restore the backup of the current database to the new database
  4. copy your host code
  5. alter the web.config of your host copy to point to the new database

Now you should be up and running and you can take your time to come up with a cleanup strategy and execute it.

Hope this helps a bit.
