this is true and has been the case for a few years now. When building the _install version of the package the release manager runs a script that gets the latest versions of the modules from the source code repository. This will match what is available for download (and not necessarily what is still in the project tracker as they're not released yet, though often the release manager will work with the project teams and expedite a release through the tracker to make a core release)

it is true - with exception of the Blog module; DNn 4.9.1 and 5.0.0 include Blog 3.5.0, while V3.5.1 has been released to the public a few days before.

What about the banners module? That one isn't in the modules directory.

Sorry - I'm not trying to be obtuse, but how do I get the banners module back, then, if I've uninstalled it? I couldn't find a package here on the site to download it independantly.
