Hi All, I've been developing DNN modules in VS2005 for a while and some DNN projects are still in VS2003. I'm now in the process of setting up a DNN 5.0 environment with VS2008 etc etc. This thread is not directly related to DNN but I thought I'd seek some advice as the MSDN forums are REALLY SLOW!! I have recently installed VS2008. Looking at any web folder properties in IIS (ASP.Net tab), I only see .Net framework(s) 1.1 and 2.0. According to Add/Remove progs, I have .Net Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2 installed as well as 3.5 SP1. Questions: Why does .Net framework 3.5 (full install) not show up in my Add/remove programs list? I thought it gets installed with VS2008....? With .Net framework 1.1 AND .Net Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2 installed as well as 3.5 SP1. do I effectively have the whole framework? OR Should I remove 3.5 SP1 and download and install the full .Net framework 3.5 then the SP1? Any answers and advice would be great! Thanks

.Net 3.0 and 3.5 simply add libraries to .Net framework 2.0, i.e. they are 2.0+ and 2.0++

Thanks Sebastian! I guess the 3.5 won't show up in the ASP.Net tab on IIS folder properties, right?! I will assume I'm good to go here unless you (or anyone else) has other ideas. Thanks!

3.0 or 3.5 are necessary to specify in VS2008 target platform, but not on IIS (it's all 2.0 for it).

Thanks. I now have 4.9.1 installed and running in dev env. Will be testing some modules on that. Now to get DNN 5.0 up and running ... I'm trying to avoid the upgrade path for now as I see to many posts with issues! Staying well away from prod sites!! Thanks for your help and tips!
