Hi Mike,

I have downloaded and installed DNN5.  All seems to be working fine.  I downloaded the updated AD provider from you website.  When I go to enter the settings and click update I am getting this error:

Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.AddADSIPath(String Path, Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.GetRootEntry(Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.ADSIProvider.GetNetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.AuthenticationController.NetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.Settings.UpdateSettings() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any thoughts?  Thanks.

Hi Jeff

That looks like an impersonation problem. I suggest you check out the documentation for version 01.00.04 (it's essentially the same for DNN 5 except where the settings are entered for the provider) for instructions on implementing impersonation in your web.config.

Hi Mike,

Sorry I took so long to get back to you.  That was the issue and everything is working great now.  Thanks.

What did you do to fix it?

I am having the same problem, I went through the documentation and nothing seems to help.

Here's the error message, when I try to same the AD settings.
