I am running 4.8.3 on Win2003 SBS (my own server) and just realized that I cannot update any of the modules, not even the Core modules.  When I login as Host and go to the module and do update, sometimes nothing happens, sometimes I'm redirected to the page that says that the site is temporarily unavailable.  In some instances (not always) the log records an application reboot.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I tried the module update with Caching off and Ajax off but same result.  I'm doing compression with IIS and tried it with both IE7 and FF, same result.

Otherwise the site is working fine.

Any ideas???  I have done a lot of searching and have not been able to find anything related to this.

My plan was to take care of the modules first before updating to 4.9.1.

Your help will be appreciated.

Carlos

Nevermind...  Found the answer myself.

Apparently this is the normal behavior.  The update was actually working all along, the thing is that you don't get any feedback telling you so.  Opportunity for improvement maybe???

Happy New Year or, Feliz Año Nuevo.

Carlos
