No, serriously. I don't understand what you are telling me.

Are you stating that this non-beta version that is released on the main page of the site requires special programming to make it work right out of the box? I'm not doing an upgrade (which should also work though) and I'm doing even trying to do any special config- since I CAN'T GET IT TO WORK.

Your answer is wait till the next version? Have other people installed it?

I think you need to wait for 5.0.1.

Also try using the install package (nb I don't know what package you are using?). If you are using Visual Studio and using the souce version you should not need to build/compile. So actually Visual Studio is not required (don't use this to install).

Also check you file permissions are correct all the way down, and there is no harm in clearing your file/cookie cache and restarting IIS.

p.s. Could you trim your first post please? the long length is making this thread hard to read.
