I just set up DNN and it works fine locally but it doesn't work remotly.

The URL is http://tmerlo.ath.cx (dydns to my ip).

Right now I have an old index.html in there for testing which works fine. http://tmerlo.ath.cx/index.html

The site is set up to load default.aspx first of course and all permissions are set up afaik. Everything works fine using localhost/default.aspx.

I think it has something to do with permissions to run asp.net remotly something, but I can't figure out where to set this.

Also, default.aspx doesn't load from another computer on the local network but index.html does. (ex. 192.168.1.119/index.html) works fine. (192.168.1.119/default.aspx) gets page not found.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Be sure to add portal aliases for all the different address you are trying to access your site from.

Login as host/superuser, go to the admin/site settings page, at the bottom of the page put in tmerlo.ath.cx, you can also put the IP address in for testing internally.

Thanks for the reply.

I actually fixed it already.

The site was set up to be accessed from the internet but I set it up locally. So all I did was delete everything, recopy over the DNN installation files and install it from a remote computer (not localhost). Once I did that everything worked fine.
