Hi every one, Happy New year!,

I just started to use DNN and my webhost had an offer to preconfigure DNN for me.  It's 4.09.00.  A small message after the install told me that forums were not installed because of an installation issue they were left out.  Upon loggin in I fing under Module that ther is a forums module installed.  I downloaded the forums module and instructions for install.  I was following thruough the instructions and I find this reference to a control panel for a new page to add the forum to.  "You could also copy the module to another page by using the "Add Existing" module from the admin control panel at the top of the new page, then select your forum"  I don't have any control panel at the top of my new page.  What am I missing?

Happy New Year Mike,

on many installations on a Plesk based auto install which using a other databaseOwner can make problems in using the DNN and any modules. So I must need  to know how you have upgraded your instance.  Did you also copy the new web.config file?  If yes, you must make sure you have correct migrating the connection strings and the maschine keys, objectQualifier (if used) and the correct databaseOwner.  If you have only one of them wrong on the upgrade proccess the database will be brocken.

For getting the Control panel on the top of the page you must have admin or host permission. Also there is a minimize and maximize button right on the top, you can set the standard to maximize on the Host settings.
