Hi Kriz,

We will continue to support our extensions when ML content is supported natively by DNN. So the way you implement ML portals with our extensions will still work and still be supported.

Depending on the approach taken by the core to implement ML content support, we will have 2 options:

1) continue to support the extensions the way they work now (without requiring any ML content processing from DNN)
2) adjust the extensions so that they use the to-be-implemented ML content support in DNN

Europe is too far unfortunately for this year. I would have liked to participate / collaborate in this ML discussion.

I just hope the implementation 1) will not add complexity to people not requiring ML support 2) will require the least modifications in 3rd party modules to support 3) have good support for SEO

Until then, we encourage you to take a look at our free extensions to implement ML portals under DNN 4 and DNN 5: http://www.adequation-dotnetnuke.com/en/Modules/Localization-Extensions/Overview.aspx

Etienne,

I would have loved to welcome you at the European DNN Pro meeting. Regarding localization requirements, those of you have already been set by the core team, including 4) no significant performance decrease and 5) are easy to understand and integrate in core and 3rd party modules as well as 6) being extensible to allow for centralized translation management in large sites.

Cheers from Germany,
