Hi all

Have just installed the DNN5 Starter kit and have made a new site in Visual Web Developer 2008 Express. The connection to the database and the installation went just fine, and I was able to view the page once. But now I get a whole bunch for exceptions and warnings when building the site.

Most of the warnings say :

"Warning 9 'Public ReadOnly Property HostSettings() As System.Collections.Hashtable' is obsolete: 'Replaced in DotNetNuke 5.0 by Host.GetHostSettingDictionary'..."

As if the starterkit is not constructed for the DNN 5 API ???

And then I get these 6 Exceptions:

  • Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.FckHtmlEditorProvider.fckinstanceoptions'.
  • Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.FckHtmlEditorProvider.fcklinkgallery'.
  • Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.FckHtmlEditorProvider.fckStyles'.
  • Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.FckHtmlEditorProvider.FckHtmlEditorOptions'.
  • Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.FckHtmlEditorProvider.fckimagegallery'.
  • Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.FckHtmlEditorProvider.fckCSS'.

What is going wrong here ??

Thanks in advance.

Alex Shirley posted the following in the bug tracker about a workaround:

"The workaround (thanks to John Mitchell) is to move DotNetNuke.FckHtmlEditorProvider.dll from the /bin/providers to the /bin folder."

And then what do you do if this does not resolve the problem? Even after applying the fix, I get the same errors.
