Hi,
Does anyone know how to set the blog to have blog entries automatically full expanded without user's interaction? In blogs at least the last entry is full expanded by default, and I've seen in other blogs (using dnn blog module) that this behaviour is possible. I'm sorry if this topic have been discussed yet, but I didn't find a solution using search... maybe due to my horrible english :)
Thanks in advance.
Giordano

Hi Giordano,

don't worry, your post was very clear. I saw your comment on Hilbert's blog without being able to help you there. This support forum is a much better place for this.

The Blog module can work a you described, with the full entries displayed in the main view without an annoying Read More... link to click every time. To have it working like this, just login as admin, goto Module Options and set Limit Auto-Generated Entry Summary to 0 (zero). Now all the entries that are added without a summary will be displayed as fully expanded, without a Read More... link.

If this doesn't look like working, most probably is because your entry summary is not exactly empty. We have learned that the FCK text editor that is used in DNN automatically adds an empty <p>&#160;</p> tag in the textbox even if you don't want. To avoid this, switch the text editor to Source View and delete all the content before adding your entries.

Let me know if you need further help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Giordano,

thank you for your kind words about the Blog module: we appreciate when our effort helps people. Also consider reading this blog on how to avoid unwanted tags in the FCK editor.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
