Hi !

I have installed Blog Module (03,04,00) on DNN 04.09.00 successful, but when I try to create a blog I get this error :

No Entries were posted for this blog.
 Error: testblog is currently unavailable.

Hi Gladi,

you should check taht both the connection strings in web.config are correctly entered, and that that the SQL user has the required permissions.

I had the same problem when the second connection string was wrong (in web.config appSettings). The first connection string (in connectionStrings) was right. This also affected UsersOnline and probably other modules.

Hi Mika,

this is because not all the modules use the same connection string, and a supplementary connection string had to be kept for backward compatibility. They both must match your install settings in order for the modules to work. As far as I know this job is automatically done by automatic online installers, but has to be done manually when installing locally.
