The modules use Web Application Projects (WAP), not Web Site Projects (WSP).  Debugging WAP projects is easy.  Simply make sure the pdb is in the bin folder (which it is if you compile to debug mode).  Then in visual studio go to the Debug menu.  Choose Attach to Process... and choose either the aspnet_wp (for Windows XP) or w3wp (for Vista).  Set your breakpoint wherever you want and you should be good to go for debugging.

If you still really want to use WSP, then create your module as you normally would, and just copy the code into your module.
