Hello,

From the interface of DNN 5, I would like adding two tabs more in the menu :

- the first is a separator... Can I do this from page settings ?

- the second is a link tab with target=_blank. I tried in the url link : *_blank*http://... (solution viewed in Telerik forum) but it doesn't work.

Thank you for help.

For the second part of your question

javascript : void(window.open('URL'));

Remove the spaces on either side of the :

You can check out http://www.javascript-coder.com/window-popup/javascript-window-open.phtml for some extra details about the window.open function where you can set the target and a few other things.

For the first question - I don't know of a seperator setting for the menu, but if you set the title as something like -------- and check the Disabled: box, it will show up in the menu but not be clickable. Kind of a hack, but should work.

All the seperator attributes still work in the new version of the DNN NAV Menu. Example:

<dnn:NAV runat="server" id="dnnNAV"  ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" IndicateChildren="false" ControlOrientation="Horizontal" CSSControl="easyMenu" SeparatorHTML="1" SeparatorLeftHTML="2" SeparatorRightHTML="3" />

I have also converted the default DNN 5.0 skin to use the new DNN NAV Menu V2 CSS classes & written a quick tutorial on it here:

http://dnnmenuv2.mywebsitedesigner.com.au/Default.aspx

(you can also download the converted skin from the above link as well).

I have almost documented the new NAV menu but unfortunitly have got to finish 2 sites before the end of next week so I am not going to get the chance to finish it off until after then.

Thank you for replies but I know how to create a window.open(... target=_blank..)  and adding separator from dnnNav.
My problem is to do that manually from the DNN interface, by the icon ADD NEW TAB, not by code. I think it's not possible to add a separator manually with the form, can you confirm please ? The other question is reccurent on the forum since a long time but I haven't got the solution ; i hope DNN 5 allows that now.
