 Update to original question:

1. No zonealarm.

2. if I send the one user (who is willing to work with me on this) direct links, he can open them immediately, with no freezing/crashing, however if he tries to click on any link on the page to navigate OFF that page, it freezes. If you let it sit for a REALLY long time (like 15 minutes) it MIGHT make it to the new page, however, sometimes it just freezes up.

Does this help to clarify?

Yet another update: I have determined that it is SpyBot that is crashing the site. Any idea why SpyBot would see it as a phishing site and how can I change that? Thanks in advance.

Obviously try clearing cookies/cache.

To be clear - this is only reproducable in IE7?

What is happening in the DNN event viewer?

What is happening in XP's/Vista's etc event viewers?

You say no ZoneAlarm but do you have another firewall/privacy product that could be causing issues.

You say it brings down the entire computer - blimey! and all the PC's configured the same in your environment?

Is this intranet or internet?

If you think a third party module might be effecting you best option is to contact them.

I agree with everybody here, this could be a cookie blocking/javascript/firewall/privacy application/third party module issue. "Typically" this does not sound like a DNN core code issue and smells of a third party application somewhere in the chain.

ps

Do you have a lot of security roles in DNN?
Any underscores in your host name?
Does this happen only after people log in?

Then again check this:

if the issue is to do with the menu/SOLPART.

Alex -

Thanks for the input. The previous post states that it is SPYBOT that is bringing down the site for at least one of my users. Anyone have any idea why this would be doing this? They can open the first page, but then cannot click on ANY links... either ones created by the SolPart or manual links on the page...
