When I attempt to open site via DNN server name which is a XP machine with a basic DNN5 site for testing I  "site under construction" with "no default page" default.aspx is the only document listed in the properties of my DNN site as I removed all the others. I get the same error when I use the IP address. Accessing the default from the serevr with localhost/default.aspx works fine. I restarted IIS and and world wide web publishing service which is set to automatic. I realize this appears to be an IIS issue but would appreciate any help if some one has an answer.

make sure to add any address you use other than localhost as additional portal aliases (login as superuser "host" and add portal alias at the bottom of Admin :: Site Settings page.

Can you give an example on how to do that?  I have a strange issue.  When I try to connect from the client (both the server and the client are on a LAN) with httP://DNNServerName/dotnetnuke/default.aspx The URL in I.E. change to http://localhost/dotnenuke and I get a page can not be found.  I added DNNServerName to the port aliases and it still does the same thing.

Thanks in advance,
