Hi Tim,

if your entries provide a summary, then it will be entirely displayed on the recent entries view followed by a Read More link. However, even if you provide a summary, it may be truncated to its limit if the Enforce Summary Limit option is checked. If there's not a summary, the module will attempt to create one truncating the entry body. The lenght of this truncation is set under Module Options > Limit Auto-Generted Entry Summary To option. If you want all the entry body to be displayed without a Read More link, set the value to 0 and uncheck Enforce Summary Limit.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Dario,

Thanks for your continnued help with this issue...

I have it set to autosummarize with a limit of 200 and enforce summart limit unchecked.  I still see no summary. For each recent blog.  I am also told that at times people are still kicked out to the login screen.

I saw in another thread where there are configuration changes that can be made to the FCK editor so that special characters are not inserted into the Summary area and fooling the blog module into believing that a summary was entered...

Hi Tim,

the automatic summary generation occurs when the summary is exactly empty. Check if it is so, or if the FCK editor has added an empty <p> tag in it. The login issues may be due to the fact that some entries are being added from an instance of the blog module placed in a restricted area of the website. Try checking the entry link on the title, and see if it redirects to a tab where login is required. If so, goto the blog module instance in the public area and perform a permalink re-generation.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

I have clicked regenerate links several times. Maybe it is not working?

Some blog entries:

Home/tabid/53/EntryId/361/TEST.aspx - Will ask you to log in to the portal again before viewing

Home/tabid/53/EntryId/360/Squashing-bugs.aspx - takes me right to the full view of the blog
