Hi,

 i am trying to get a module id of my own created usercontrol.

i did like this,

ModuleInfo moduleInfo = new ModuleInfo();
Response.Redirect(Globals.NavigateURL(PortalSettings.ActiveTab.TabID, "key", "mid=" + ModuleId.ToString()));

i am getting ModuleId as -1.

can any one help me in this.

When you create this usercontrol, make sure you set the ModuleConfiguration property (to the containing module's ModuleConfiguration).

Now that I'm re-reading your original post, I think I may have misunderstood your situation.

Can you explain in more detail what you're trying to do, and how you're trying to do it?

It appears as though you're trying to create a new module on the fly, just so that you can navigate to it.  Am I correct?  This is not really possible.  You could load the control without your current module, so that the new control displays in the same place.  Otherwise, I would recommend registered this control in your module's definition, (select Module Definitions from the Host menu, then edit your module and add a new control).  Then you can navigate to that control just by changing the ControlKey on the URL, rather than the module ID.

Let me know what you're trying to accomplish, and I'll see if I can help you get that figured out,
