Forums Module help

I've just installed v5 of DNN hoping to be able to easily create a site I need - it has to have forums and could have some sort of comments (from the users). In the examples shown on the DNN I can see that you can choose to add a module from the drop down list and Forum is there available amongst others. Is that because the version is different or beacause I have to install more modules? Is there a free forum - or do I have to pay for one? Any reccomendations?

if you are logged in as host user, you will find both, a centered link in control panel at the top "install additional modules" and a list of "available modules" ready-for install at the bottom of module definition in host menu. Once you installed them (don't select all in one chunk!), you may select them from the drop down list in control center to create instances on your pages.

Thank you - perfect! I was expecting that sort of istructions to be found in a starter document but failed to find it - where is it? I will have more questions like that, eg. on how to use the forums, etc. do you know what is a relevant read for me on how to set up the site - step by step.
