Hi Timo

Difficult for me to be articulate without sending a picture.  Glad you're seeing what I'm seeing now...
Thank you for the responses - I trust that you guys will have a solution for me.

Hi Timo

Using a different admin container is fine for my personal use.  But I'm only querying this, as I'd like to solve this in a Skin Pack I'm developing for resale.
It's not critical that my containers have custom icons, but it would be nice.  And the setting does exist in the list of properties in the actionbutton.xml file.

<Setting>
    <Name>IconFile</Name>
    <Type>String</Type>
    <Help>Sets the Icon used, defaults to the icon defined in Action</Help>
    <Value></Value>
  </Setting>

Would be cool if this could be addressed - if not now, then in future releases.

Regards
Jon

Well I started an (internal) thread about this, but I cannot asure you it will be fixed, it might but don't count on it.

(Remember this is core so I'm not the one making the changes)

What you can do is to log this as an enhancement in Gemini, since your the one who discovered this.

Post the link to the issue here and I'll track it

I would just like to clarify.

NOTHING changed in behaviour in DNN 5.0.0.

The difference is that there is a different default skin.  The OLD DNN-Blue skin had separate registrations for the ActionButton, while the NEW MinimalExtropy sample skin has one reference for the button.

Thus if you create ASC skins and follow the new default skin as an example you will use one registration, but you are not required to.

Hi Charles.

CORRECT - Nothing changed in behaviour in DNN 5.0.0 either with 1 registration, or 2+ registrations.
The problem persists in all versions of DNN, it would seem.  I have check in 4.8.2, 4.9.0, 4.9.1, and 5.0.0.

With only 1 registration, my HTML is as follows:

<dnn:ACTIONBUTTON runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON5" commandname="ModuleHelp.Action" displayicon="True" displaylink="False" iconfile="Icon_Help.gif" />
                <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON4" commandname="ModuleSettings.Action" displayicon="True" displaylink="False" iconfile="Icon_Settings.gif" />
                <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON1" commandname="AddContent.Action" displayicon="True" displaylink="False" iconfile="Icon_Edit.gif" />
                <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON2" commandname="SyndicateModule.Action" displayicon="True" displaylink="False" iconfile="Icon_RSS.gif" />
                <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON3" commandname="PrintModule.Action" displayicon="True" displaylink="False" iconfile="Icon_Print.gif" />

TIMO: I have created an account on Gemini, but I can't figure out how to post a new issue. (using FireFox).

CHARLES: Should I still report this, or will you handle on my behalf? And post link on thread?

Regards
Jon
