Im completely new to this whole thing.  Im trying to setup 4.0.2 with my MS business hosting package from www.1and1.com.  I was wondering if anyone had any help or pointers for this process.

Have you enquired with the tech support team at 1and1?

Do you have a control panel to work with that allows you to set permissions to full access within your root directory?

If you have not done this before you might like to look through the documentation that is available for download.

1and1 has a tool called MySql Admin where I can create a database.  I am currently looking at permissions right now.  Thanks for the quick reply.

It will not work with MySQL - you need MSSql to use DotNetNuke -

You will have to contact them and ask them if you have an SQL database in your account. If you don't you cannot install DotNetNuke

I apologize,

The site has MS SQL Admin.  I have the ability to create a database.  I can also edit permission on any folder in my root directory. Thanks again for the help.
