Hi Oliver - I just installed your Picasa/Flickr module, installation went flawlessly, but after adding the module to a page, and choosing the data source (tried both Picasa and Flickr), I get the following error message after entering my user name "An error occurred  while adding a page: page name is required OK" ...
After clicking OK, I click on "Lookup albums" and get a "Invalid username!" message.
Hope you can guide me to get the module working ...
Thanks in advance for your help.
Guy

Hi Oliver, first thanks for providing us with this awesome plugin for free. :) I am experiencing the same issue that this user has (on Page 13). Has anyone found a solution?

Hi Oliver,

Thanks I was able to download and install it . However, I seem to have an issue with the display mode setting. The "lightbox" value works fine but with all the other values (fancybox, flyout, thickbox, etc), I seem to have any issue. When I click on the images in the 2nd page or after, the image just appears in a new tab in IE (using IE 7 and IE 8) instead of being superimposed on the same IE page/tab. I don't have a problem with the first page of the album... only starting from the 2nd page. I didn't see anyone with the same issue in the forums so i am hoping you will be able to tell me what might be wrong. Other than this minor problem (which is prob due to an error on my side with the configuration), I think this module is great. Please let me know your thoughts and thx in advance for your help.

Hi Oliver! Thank you for the great module -- I've got it running in the latest DNN installation w/Picasa quite nicely. There is one feature that I really would like that I can't seem to find, presuming that the module supports it. Right now I have the photo gallery running as a slide show on the home page of our site; however, the show always starts at photo #1. I would really, really like to know if there is a way to randomize the starting slide # for the show to make the user experience more engaging. That way, even if the user doesn't spend much time on the home page he or she will be exposed to many different photos rather than the same first few every time.

If this is supported in the module, please let me know. If not, I'd like to submit it as a feature request. Thanks!

Hi Oliver,

I have just downloaded the latest version and am having a problem. I am using the module in Picasa mode, and it connects to Picasa OK in the module settings - correctly prompting me in Google to Authorise the 'Oliver Hine' access, after which it fills in a long number in the Gallery text box (An authentication token, I am guessing). However, when I return to the page proper, the module simply displays "No Data Received: User or Album not found! Please check your settings". I have tried breaking and restablishing the authentication, but it makes no difference - same error.

Can you (or anyone else who has experienced this) advise what the problem may be?

I note from your original posting that "You need to use Flickr or Picasa and have Images configured in an album/photoset" - could the problem be because there are more then one album present in Picasa?

Thanks and regards

Steve

I am also getting the "Invalid Username!" error, with a twist.

It works just fine on my local Win7 dev box. If I put the exact same settings onto my web host's server I get the error.

I copied the database and the entire dnn folder from the dev machine to the host site so they are exactly the same (or were until I did tweak some content on the hosted site.)

The DNN version is 6.1.4

I tried to delete the module on re-add it to the page. I also tried deleting the Escher extension and re-installing it.

Any ideas how to get the hosted version working?

Thanks,

Brad
