I am using DNN 5.  After adding a new module the FCKEditor is not working any longer. It shows now editor at all but still shows the options to Show Custome Editor Options and Refresh the editor and they still work. When going to the edit page I get a JS error stating that access is denied. I've read a number of blogs and suggestions on how to handle this but none of the situations apply here.

I am not feeding the iframe from a different domain. It is just the editor that ships with DNN. I also have gone through the permissions and at one point gave full permissions to everyone and I still get this error.

On my local machine it all worked fine. So I even moved the working app to the production server (in a different directory, not an overwrite) and it still had this issue.  Please help.

I assume, that the new module adds some invalid JavaScript, preventing other JavaScript to run. try to remove the new module and contact the developer.

The module is a widely distrubuted form creation module that was purchased from the DNN Store and it worked in staging. One follow up question if I were to fully delete a module (any module) could this affect the way that DNN works?  The reason I ask is because in testing the module loaded great the first time around but in development it failed several times due to the HTTPRuntime timeout being too short and I therefore had to uninstall it and/or delete the partially module uploaded module a few times before I figured out the problem.

Be sure to always bacup you database and DNN folder before every upgrade (modules or core). As you can not guaranty that the developer that built the module has taken all the steps to guaranty your data integrity, you can not trust anything without your own backup.

Try backing up and then remove your module

Could this be a browser cache issue? I have seen something similar and clearing the browser cache worked
