Any ideas what could have caused this error? (I've removed certain details for security reasons)

Thanks,

there seems to be an invalid profile property definition - did you alter profile property definition lately?

Aaah, that could be a possibility. If this is the case, how do I edit the User Directory settings? I can't get into the settings with the error?

Thanks!

Ignore the above, I've discovered the problem. It seems that it errors when it has to view or seach for fields that are richtext. This has worked fine the past, any idea why this would suddenly kill it?

Thanks Sebastian, you've been a great help!

Seems this error is still  around. I am using DNN 5.6.0 with UserDirectory 1.01.09.

I made a backup and went about deleting all profile properties (which is how I interpreted the advice above). The module still raised the original error. After much hair pulling, I eventually went to the source for this method:

effority.UserDirectory.Controller.GetUserProfileDic(List`1 ProfileDefinitions, Int32 PortalId)

and examined the SQL it was running. If I ran the following SQL:

delete from UserProfile where PropertyValue is null

it seemed to fix it. I also confirmed that the propfile property is re-inserted into the UserProfile table once the user has entered some data against the property.
