Hello all,

Using VMWare, I cloned our production DNN server/site to a new (test) VMWare server/site.  I changed the IP and name of the new server; and I created a copy of the SQL database and changed the web.config to point to that.

However, now when I try to browse to the new site, it redirects me to the production site.  (i.e., I type in the browser http://jsl-in02 and it resolves to http://jnet, and it's definitely the production site).

Obviously missing a configuration item here but don't know what it is ... can anyone help?  Thanks.

Hi there, you need to check your new test site DataBase and modify the PortalAlias field in the Portals table so that it points to the right server. Now add a space to your web.config or make a slight modification and save it, so that you can force you site to restart and fetch some config values again from the DB.

Cheers,
