There was a post in the forum or an entry on a blog that was fantastic.  It took you step by step through some "tricks" to improve the speed on you site.  It was basically adjusting various settings to optimize speed and performance or eliminate activities that slow your site down.

The author was one of the DNN gurus that has contibuted significantly to both the forums and blogs, but I forgot to write down how I found it or better yet, print it!  I beleive it was written in early January '09.

My apologies to the author for forgetting their name.  They received many "Thank you" replys from the community.  If anyone knows the post or blog entry I am referring to, please let us know how to get back to it.  Thanks!

Hi all,

i have try on my IHostASP hosted portal to implement compression with Gzip type but all my portal return a blank page !!

Any idea ? It's due to an IIS configuration ?

Sandro,

please make sure, not to use compression AND whitespace filter turned on together. Another option might be server compression being turned on, please check with the server administrator.
