I am not too sure how everything is supposed to work so I cnnot say exactly where the peoblem is, but there is one somewhere.

It is my understanding that when a blog is published from livewriter that any image in that blog entry is stored in a folder structure similar to this

Portals\0\Blog\Files\12\59

where 12 represents the blog ID and 59 represents the image ID.

I also notice that another folder exists called Portals\0\Blog\Files\12\_temp_images.

What I see happening is the image is copied into _temp_images but never makes it into 12\59 (the entryID folder). Is this an issue with the blog modult, live writer, the way the image is inserted, something else?

Hi David,

the image files should be moved to their respective path after the entry is published. In your case something may have gone wrong, could you please check if some exception hase been logged into the Event Viewer? I can remember of a similar issue when uploading images with special carachters into the filename.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

I am not too sure this is it because these are not entered at the exact same time as the post, but I have several of these exceptions... Nothing else is in the EventLog near that time.

Hi David,

no, this issue seems to be caused by an external service (maybe Facebook) consuming your blog's feed. By the way: are you posting to the built DNN Blog metaWeblog address, or are you using a 3rd party module for this?

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

We write the blog entry in Live writer. For each blog in the site we set up an account in WLW. Those accounts post to the DNN Blog Module (03.05.01) using the MetaWebLog API  and a url like
