After upgrading from 4.8.4 to 4.9.1 I can no longer access Site Settings or Host Settings. All other admin modules are working. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

Were there any error messages during your upgrade?

Try clearing your browsers cookies and cache, try changing web.config slightly in order to get your application to restart. Also try restarting IIS.

Is there any error? Paste it here, is there an error in the event viewer? Paste it here.

Hi Alex,

I tried all the above with no success. The upgrade did give me an error, but that has been the norm for my sites these days. I've mentioned it several times here in the forums and never found an answer since refreshing the screen allows the site to come up. Anyhow, the unfortunate thing is I didn't save the error but they typically had something to the affect of invalid files in the root the last time. I don't know what that would mean.

If you have any other suggestions I would be happy to try everything you can come up with.

As a test I copied the original web.config file to the site and I was able to access the Site Settings and Host Settings pages again, so it is an inclusion or omission in the web.config file. I'm searching for what it could possible be, but everything is quite cryptic, so if anyone has a clue as to where to go to next I would be much obliged.
