I am looking to "authenticate" / login a user from an external website.

I would like to do this by having the external website just pass the username in a query string to a page on the DNN site.

Given that the username/password on the external site and the username/password on my DNN site could get out of synch - is there a way of the calling site to just pass the username and some sort of "authentication token" (for security) and when I retrieve those 2 query string items (username, token) - I first check to see that the token is valid, and if it is - I then proceed to log that user into DNN.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
