Hello

I am new to DNN and I was playing with some of the settings and have locked myself out of the site. I was under "admin/site settings/ advanced settings" and I changed the login page to home. Now when I try to login it sends me to my home page and I can't access any of the site or admin options. DOes anyone know if there is a source file I can edit or am I going to have to reinstall DNN.

I can access the files through ftp. Is there a standard path to the file? Also is this a .css file or ascx? Sorry these may seem like novice questions. I am learning.

Hello,

i'm sorry, but there is imho no other way to gain access back to your Portal that the way Sebastian described.

Access to the Portal is managed by Entries within the underlying Database. There is no .ascx or .css File involved.

The only way is setting back the Values Sebastian told you.

Hi Sambrizjr

Another way to null out the table is to get the opensesame.aspx file from
http://blogs.snapsis.com/PermaLink,guid,3078311e-6925-4c03-8243-d1b9c8a11906.aspx

ftp this to the root of your dnn site.  they go to www.mysite.xxx/opensesame.aspx
hit return. you should now be able to login.

It does not reset host.admin passwords - simply resets the login page to the original default.

Thanks to John Mitchell for this life saver.
