Manual

Hi, I have just downloaded the DNN event module, which is great, as far as we could check. But, for a better understanding we were hopping you could supply the manual to check all the functionalities offered.

Thanks in advance,

Andreia

Up until now, there has been no real manual or help, except the on-line help that can be found at this link:

Some time ago, I have recruited a number of vulunters for writing (parts of) a new manual. Some progress has been made, but it is not finished yet. Now that the new version 04.01.01 is near release, I will try to motivate that team again to complete the task of preparing a manual.

Hi. Once there is not a manual available, I would like to ask you some questions regarding the DNN Events module.

First, I would like to understand what does the "Subscribe/Unsubscribe" button (when subscriptions are activated at module settings level) do? It appears both for logged and not logged users, why?

Second, I would like to better understand the moderation funcionality. Specialy in what events are concerned. If I assign the moderation "role"  to a user, he can create/update/delete events and approve/reject users enrollments on events, right? What about the event moderation? There is a radio button on the moderation screen that allows user to moderate events or enrollments. In what conditions does an event need to be moderated?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi Andreia,

The Subscribe/Unsubscribe button on the Iconbar allows users to subscribe to notification of new events. It should only appear for users who are logged in.

Yes you are right as to what a user can do when he is allocated as a moderator. If you have ticked the option to Moderate Events/Enrollments in the Moderation Settings, then if a user who has Edit rights to the module adds an event, then this event needs moderation, which a moderator can do using the radio button you have mentioned. The important point being here is that a moderator can ad/change/moderate/delete all events. Whilst an editor can only add/change/delete their own events.

Cheers
Roger
