I'm VERY new to DNN so bare with me, maybe there's something I forgot cause I'm not noticing any other people talk about this. So I have the latest 4x version of DNN and I added the latest blog release, I setup the blog and was able to succesfully add an entry but when I click on the entiry there's a broken link. What am I forgetting?

I am on a localhost, using Visual Studio 2008, i have not put DNN on Godaddy yet (my website host), just playing around with it on my localhost.

Thanks for your help.

I also have syndication disabled and comments disabled.

When you click on the link for an entry, is the URL pointing to the same website you've configured, or to a different URL? Are you using a port in your URL?

Hi Victork,

if this is your case, like Chris said, you can set VS to use IIS without a dynamic port and everything should work fine.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Thanks for getting back to me Chris. No the URL changes, and it reads as if it should work. Here's a sample:

http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Blog/tabid/58/EntryId/1/First-Blog-Test.aspx

As far as your port question goes, I don't think so.

Was the original URL for the blog page

http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Blog/tabid/58/default.aspx ?
