Hi - I am planning to build a private, non-profit, website(s) with the webhosting company installing DNN, Asp.net, My SQL, etc. I am NOT a techie in matters of websites, unlike our son.... , but I have a few questions regarding DNN and a forum component:
1) The webhosting site installs DNN 4.0 - does it have a built-in forum module? I have built a small site with Community Server's free version (now not available at the web hosting site), and it had a nice built-in forum capability.
2) If DNN 4.0 does't have a built-in forum module as installed by the web hosting site, the site offers either Vanilla Forum or YetAnotherforum as part of the host site installation (free). Will they integrate with DNN in some way? I.e., when I build the website pages using DNN, will it be feasible to add a page which will give access to one of those "third party" forum builders?
3) The hosting site allow installation of either MS Sequel (up to two DB's) or MySQL (up to 25 DB's). FRom the point of view of DNN, is one or the other better?
Thank you for any helpful answers you may add here, everyone.
