Hi
I am rewriting a module from 3.3.7 to 4.9.1.

For the most part the code ports ok but there are some things that I need to do in order to make use of the 4.x framework.

The problem I have is that when I click on my submit button, it just seems to refresh the page and certainly does not fire the event. However when the module is in edit mode, the event fires and all the code is run even though the module is in view mode.

Has anybody come accross this before and if so how do I solve this?

Thanks

I've sorted the problem. Cache time of the module not in admin mode needs to be set to 0 in order to work.

I think I am having a similar issue.  Where did you find the cache time of the module not in admin mode?  The only thing I have found is default cache time.

Thanks!!

The cache is disabled in admin mode so the module functions as per expectations. If the cache is set in the module settings, it will cache for that period only in none edit mode.
