I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

How can an existing Portal (all pages, modules, content etc) be easily duplicated in the same DNN instance as a completely new Portal?

I'm not sure how templates are created but I have seen these pretty much do this same thing - like a default setup for a Portal.

you should be able in Host ::Portals to create a template from an existing portal.

This should include all tabs and al those modules supporting iPortable, but will lack all other modules as well as all tabmodules settings.

Thanks Sebastian

Just what I was needing, will save plenty of time though I'll soon find out where the work will like with the modules and settings.

Cheers!
