It looks like you updated in the wrong order, not your fault really, it is complex due to the issue in 5.1.4. Required order would be:-
  • Events 3.3.8 to Events 5.0.3
  • Events 5.0.3 to Events 5.1.4
  • DNN 5.2.2 to DNN 5.5.0

Mail me at webmaster @ the domain in my profile, and I'll help you to resolve.

Cheers
Roger

Hi all / Roger,

I'm having similar problems to people here, but haven't managed to work out a solution from all the various threads....please help!
  • I'm running DNN 5.2.3 with no upgrade steps outstanding.
  • I've upgraded the Events module to 05.01.04 from 4.0.2
  • I get an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." from DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventModuleSettings.SaveSettings on upgrade
  • I get error "Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero" when I access pages with events module
  • I go to one particular instance of the events module and see a flashing 'Upgrade not succeeded, run again' message
  • As a result I get a page and event error 'A critical error has occurred.Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'
  • I can't seem to go to months that contain events on that module
Result of query 1 is 1 Dummy 2 Dummy 3 Dummy 4 Dummy 5 Dummy 6 Dummy 7 New event! (where "New event" is an event I added after the upgrade I think..)
Result of query 2 is 1 6 Nations Decider N 0 NULL Any help gratefully received !

Many thanks .....
Rob

Hi Rob,

I edited your mail for readability, there were no line breaks for some reason.

Probably best if you email me offline at webmaster @ the domain in my profile.

Cheers
Roger

Rob solved this problem by clicking the re-start upgrade link, which showed an error but actually completed the upgrade.
