I created a blog a while ago and I'm not able to delete it now. I can't access the settings and I can't post to it but it still shows up in the list of active blogs. Anyone else see this?

I have the most current version, FYI... thanks in advnace

Hi Josh,

you can easily delete the unwanted blog with a simple SQL script. If this is the only way, I can post you the simple code you need to execute, but first: what prevents you from entering Blog Settings? As far as you can login using the blog owner's credentials, you can enter Blog Settings and hit the Delete link at the very bottom of the page, don't you? Do you encounter an exception or an unexpected error message?

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Thanks for the reply...

What would happen before is that I would see the two blogs on the list, click the one I wanted and, after the subsequent page load, would go into the blog settings but I would always see the one I just created rather than the one I wanted to delete.

Now, after asking someone in the office to take a look at it, they are both gone and I'm having trouble adding new ones.

Is there a "standard document" for new users of this module? I seem to run into a lot of problems and I'm afraid it's because I never learned how to use the module in the first place!

Thanks

The problems keep switching around... I'm so confused.

OK, now I'm back to the original problem. I have two blogs that I'd like to delete. To answer your question, when I go into the Blog Settings, the only blog I can affect is the one I want to keep. How do I see the options for the other two blogs? The linking between the different ones is very confusing.

Thank you

Hi Josh,

keep in mind that blogs and user accounts are deeply coupled: each user account can own one only Blog, and each Blog may have one only owner. So, to edit Blog Settings for each blog, you need to be logged in into DNN with the user account that created/owns the specific blog. To switch from one blog to another, logout from DNN and login back with the corresponding username/password.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
