It is strange that DNN does not have a core module for doing forms.  The upcoming forms and Lists module looks great though and I tried it in beta.  For my customers, I use Ventrian modules for the heavy lifting.  Property agent for many things, News Articles and Simple Gallery for Articles and Photos and I use Child Links module on every site I do.  For my needs, DotNetNuke is a lonley place without Ventrian.

I found some great modules for free that I use a lot.

helferlein form is  really a great form maker.
Oliver Hine has a great Weather module.
BTB Yahoo Weather is a nice weather module too
GoMap is great, but I use a commercial map called Netsim now as it is easier.

Many more but I forget them.  Sql editing, Countdown, Marquee.
